The following topics are covered:

• processes: starting up a project, initiating a project, directing a project, controlling a stage, managing product delivery, managing a stage boundary and closing a project;
• tailoring PRINCE2 to suit your own specific requirements;
• exam training, exam hints and tips and mock exams in your personal e-learning.

Required study hours and study method

Apart from the class hours, a total of approximately 32-40 hours of self-study are required. Preparations consist of studying chapters from the official PRINCE2 manual and practicing sample exam questions in your personal e-learning. To allow you sufficient time to prepare you will receive the courseware 3-4 weeks before the starting date of the course.

The course consists of presentations of the theory, interactive discussions and a variety of exercises. Attendees can bring their own case studies to the course. The training is interactive and offers a variety of exercises. You will have interesting discussions, work on cases in small groups, test your knowledge in pop quizes and sometimes and join a role playing exercise. With this setup you will learn to apply PRINCE2 successfully.

Course materials

The set of training materials consist the presentation, a case, exercises and sample answers. In addition you will receive the official, digital PRINCE2 manual: ‘Managing successful projects with PRINCE2TM’.  The e-learning tool will help you to prepare for the exam effectively, efficient and in a pleasant way.

Follow-up training

After having completed this training course you can further enhance your knowledge and comprehension of project management by attending an IPMA or M_o_R risk managementtraining. We can also offer training in the fields of change management (also referred to as: management of change), MSP program management. Programme

Examination

After attending this training course and some additional self-study you will be prepared for the official AXELOS PRINCE2 Foundation and PRINCE2 Practitioner exams. A prerequisite for attending the Practitioner exam is a valid PRINCE2 Foundation certificate.

The Foundation exam duration is 60 minutes, and is a closed books, online Proctor exam. It consists of 60 multiple choice examination questions. You need 36 marks out of 60 available marks to pass (60%). The Foundation exam takes one hour.

The Practitioner exam is based on objective testing, with closed questions only. The Practitioner exam is an open books exam, you are allowed to use the official PRINCE2 manual only. The exam duration is 2,5 hours. It consists of 68 questions, each worth one mark. To pass you need at least 42 marks out of 70 available (approximately 60%).

Forsa Advies is an accredited provider of AXELOS exams, and can offer this exam at the end of the training course. The format is an online Proctor exam. AXELOS is responsible for the exam requirements and provides the exams.

Proof of attendance and official certificates

When you pass the exams you will receive the official, digital PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner AXELOS certificates. Additionally, you will receive proof of attendance if you have actively attended 75% or more of the course hours.

The pricing for this course is € 3.184. This is a 5 day training course with a separate date for the Practitioner exam. Price is including the online Proctor PRINCE2 Foundation, the online Proctor Practitioner exam, accredited courseware and the digital PRINCE2 manual, with a combined value of € 1.075. Additionally you will receive the supporting, digital courseware and will be given access to the e-learning with mock exam questions at no extra charge.

  The four-day IPMA PMO training delivered by Douwe Brolsma was an exceptionally enjoyable and highly educational experience. From the very first moment, he managed to capture my attention, and he maintained that engagement consistently throughout all four days. What truly sets him apart is his ability not only to explain the material clearly, but to genuinely bring it to life. Instead of relying on dry theory, he used interactive and thoughtfully designed exercises that allowed us to actively work with the content. This approach generated energy within the group and led to a much deeper understanding and stronger retention of the material. By practicing and experiencing the concepts ourselves, the topics became concrete and practically applicable. While training days can often be intensive and draining, he achieved quite the opposite. He had an excellent sense of the group’s energy level. Whenever concentration started to dip, he would flexibly adjust the program and introduce an energizer. These activities were never random or disconnected; they were always aligned with the learning objectives. As a result, the content was reactivated and reinforced in a way that felt natural and effective. He was also highly flexible in structuring the program. He paid close attention to the questions arising within the group and was willing to adjust the schedule when necessary. Occasionally, a question would relate to a topic planned for a later session. Rather than postponing it, he would address it immediately if the need was there. This created a natural learning flow and a strong sense of customization. On a personal level, he also excels. He handles different personalities within the group with ease and creates a safe and open learning environment. At the same time, he carefully manages time and process, ensuring the days remain structured and goal-oriented. His strong interpersonal skills clearly enhance the overall learning experience. In summary, he is a highly skilled trainer who combines deep subject matter expertise with strong didactic skills, energy, flexibility, and effective facilitation. It is rare to encounter a trainer who is so convincing both in content and in approach. I genuinely regret that the training days have come to an end. Without exaggeration, he is one of the best instructors I have ever had.
